My 5 BTS musts...

August 24, 2015

Forget the kids (for a minute). What do you want for back to school? Something about September sparks a wanting to start anew -almost like New Years Eve, I want to make this school year 'right' and by right I mean I like to not lose my sh*t. Both figuratively and mentally. I am not a naturally organized person however as most mothers know we have to keep it together like it or not. To start… I focus on a handful of things that will help keep me together.

An everyday bag

A bag that doesn’t scream baby, kid but can carry your and the kiddies things yet be stylish enough when you are amongst adults. This leather shopper is in a luxe color and is sturdy, perfect for drop off and work appointments.

The ‘it’ clothing piece

I am really into shirt dresses lately as they are easy to throw on and help me feel put together in minutes. If a shirtdress is not your style, try a dress that doesn’t need heavy ironing , is versatile enough it can be worked into many capacities. For example, Erica likes her more fitted and tends to wear long maxis or fit & flare. If a dress is not your kind of go to look. Try a romper, jumpsuit. Basically any style that is one piece and you can jump right into.

Planning

I’m going app free this school year at least for a calendar at home. I have too much work not to rely on one at my office however it is old fashion desk calendar for me for my son’s schedule and my Motherburg tasks.

I’m not  going totally old school as I have just started using this flip in an attempt to make my life easier with my long list of to do's. When working from home I don't always want to be sitting at my desk as I sit at a desk all week. I need to move....sit where there is sun light so I do not go stir crazy. I have only used an airbook or ipad and I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy this ASUS Chrome book Flip is to use as it basically works off of my google account and has apps to help keep me organized.

Don't forget a few essentials...

A small pouch to carry Advil, girl stuff, facial spray for my stress and tired skin…you can find these pouches anywhere.
