I posted on Cakies some time ago when I was looking for projects to do at home with my son that had a school theme. I’ve since become a big fan of Rubyellen (don’t you love the name?) and her family’s daily musings. Her kids have cool names like True, Glow, Soul and Brave. Yes, these are their names, but coming from Brooklyn we are down with the soulful names. Rubyellen is religious, crafty and she seems to have non-stop energy. I love that her posts are centered on her children with her husband Ben. They inspire me not only to do inexpensive DIY crafts but to remember that when I tell my son I am working, I should put that work down, be more present and have fun with our day.
