Chic Mama Beauty-keeping hair summer healthy.

July 09, 2012

This is the first summer in a while where I have been swimming in chlorine water and out in the sun for hours at a time. So it may be of no surprise that less then a month into summer, my hair is starting to enter into dry territory. I have started using and  testing a few products and I am already starting to see softening results. I have been growing my hair out from last summers short do, longer tresses or short, healthy hair is a bit of a commitment. Good hair is easier to take care of and frankly looks pretty, who doesn’t want to feel pretty? I do! Here are the products I am loving for keeping summer hair hydrated.

1. Sally Hershberger Hyper Hydration Super Keratin Spray. Spray this leave in conditioner in everyday if your hair is already dry. Ingredients keratin and silk extract repair the damage as you go about your day.

2. Superbly Restorative Argan Dry Oil, for the hair and skin this Argan oil is enriched with emollients and fatty acids. A little goes a long way with this power oil.

3. UV Rescue After-Sun Shampoo Unisex by Redken, exactly what it sounds like an after sun shampoo that will remove the minerals, chlorine and deposits that swimming in a pool and ocean bring to your hair. Plus is that it leaves your tresses soft.

4. Fekaki Cooling Shine Mist, I just started using this. The spray provides a UV protection and adds shine. The plus is that it smells nice and less is more, only a light spray and your set for a sunny day.
