Summer Pottery Fun for Kids!

March 19, 2012

One of the best things about living in South Williamsburg was my proximity to Choplet Ceramics. Choplet is a lovely little place to take ceramics classes & Nadeige is the awesome French proprietor of the shop. After she herself had a baby, they decided to start offering kids classes! While mine aren’t old enough to go - maybe yours are?
Here is the info for summer classes. I have to say that I MISS ceramics class. It was easily the most fun I’d had in awhile. And when you learn how to use the wheel; its as if you conquered Mt. Everest!

KIDS AND TEENS POTTERY/CERAMIC ART SUMMER CLASSES
Choplet Ceramic Studio is organizing week long CLAY CAMP over the summer.

Our Pottery / Ceramic Day Camp programs give children and teens an opportunity to experience and be a part of an actual professional pottery studio.  During the program, the students will take lessons and will gain hands-on experience on the potter’s wheel. They will also experience hand building / sculpting and glazing.  No previous experience is necessary.  All lessons & projects will be fun and creative and taught by an accomplished artist.  Sessions begin June 18 and end on August 30, 2012.

The following weeks have been scheduled but more can be added if there is a demand:

June 18 to 21
July 16 to 19
August 6-9

We will meet MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY from 9:30AM TO 1:30PM

We will be happy to add more weeks if there is a demand.
