Chic mama shopping: PEOPLE OF 2MORROW

I have been wanting to visit Franklin Street for the last two months. The little nook that starts around Oak Street in Greenpoint consists of unique stores and places to eat yet I rarely get the time to trek over. Finally, with my son being on winter break and my vacation days having to be used up we have been running around the neighborhood all week. I stumbled upon People of 2morrow a few days ago and waited for it to open so we could venture inside. By some miracle my son wasn't his usual rowdy self which allowed me to look around. Another plus was the lovely sales girl seemed to be nonplused by his running around.

This store is a gem. I was immediately in love with everything and could tell the inventory was chosen with care. I found out later that the storeowner, Sybil Domond, a local mother to a 2 year old, opened the store in November. After 15 years in the fashion industry and the world travels she shares with her husband she opened People of 2morrow as a buy/ sell/ trade space where she carefully curates the inventory as well as features jewelry, home and body care. I am often asked where to shop and where to find amazing clothes in the neighborhood especially from fellow mothers that would like to add some chic pieces to their wardrobe. Go here. The prices will not break the bank. I have been looking for an amazing dress for an important meeting I have for work and found a vintage printed piece for $38! I also found camel coats, a staple I have been searching for, and printed blouses for $30 to $45. There is a drool worthy selection of kids vintage clothes that I cannot wait to buy for the boy as I am already planning my next visit.
