L'Ecole Des Beaux Arts works on setting up an art school.
Sara Moffat is an artist with an amazing creative goal for Williamsburg. Ms. Moffat is working with all her soul to bring together her dream which is opening L’Ecole Des Beaux Arts School. This school which Sara aims to start in January will hold classes for both kids and adults. Her goal is to support and strengthen existing creativity in our community. Presently you can support Sara through Kickstarter (ends in 4 days!)Besides the kid’s classes featured in the kickstarter campaign, (knot tying, drawing, painting, textile printing,drumming) the children’s art classes LDBA will permanently range from drawing, painting, mask making, sculpture, to skill based classes; knot tying, building, textile printing, book making, science classes and several seasonally based classes. Sara wants parents to be able to sign their kids up for series of classes, like 10 at a time, they will be held after school and early mornings on Saturday. The teachers lined up are quite impressive in their talents and are professional artists with the goal to have them teach in the way they would have wanted to learn. The supplies for class will be superior, instilling a sense of value and respect for art, materials and the process of creation starting at an early age.
