February 23 Motherburg along with Wellrounded NY and WillyPointKids will be hosting a FREE event at NY KIDS CLUB. You'll get to know what they offer in care, classes in their new Williamsburg neighborhood. Snacks, music, play and giveaways. I'll be posting more on this next week!

Childbirth Education Weekend Intensive:  Sat Feb 8th and Sun Feb 9th12:30-6pm. $350, Sign up here. Offered by Birth Day Presence, this class is designed to prepare expectant parents for the labor experience. 

Infant, Child and Adult CPR Training and CertificationSat Feb 15th, 1-3:30pm$80-$100, Sign up here. Provided by Baby Be Safe, this class is intended for Moms, Dads, nannies, or anybody else who watches your baby or cares for your family. You will learn the skills for prevention, recognition, and treatment for choking (Heimlich), respiratory, and cardiac emergencies (CPR) for infants and children. There will also be hands on practice using infant and children mannequins. Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to either learn for the first time or to brush up on your infant CPR and first aid skills.

Eat, Drink, DOULA!  Sun Feb 16th, 3-4:30pm
FREE! Sign up here. Come meet BirthFocus doulas at their FREE doula open house!! BirthFocus understands the process involved in choosing the right doula to join women and their families on a most intimate experience, the birth of a baby! At this FREE “Eat, Drink, DOULA” open houses, they give pregnant women, and their partners, a chance to learn more about their doula practice and to connect intimately with several doulas through one on one interviews. They lovingly refer to these events as "speed dating for doulas" as each expecting couple will have a chance to meet with 4-5 doulas, of varying experience levels, throughout the event.

Woven Wrap Hip Carry Class: Sat Feb 22, 3-4pm, $10. Sign up here. When baby wants to look around more or you are finding it hard to accomplish things with the baby on your front, hip carries come to the rescue!  Hip carries allow easy nursing, greater mobility for things like food prep and laundry, and a wider view of the world for your curious baby.  In this one hour class learn how to tie and troubleshoot two different hip carries. More carries will be covered if time allows. This class is taught by Sarah Longwell-Stevens, Certified Babywearing Educator.
