Last Friday and weekend we stayed in town and had a NYC weekend. My husband worked so my son and I walked (in the rain) around our neighborhood where we ended up at Lobster Joint in Greenpoint and brought a bit of New England to our fourth. Later that evening we ended up at North Brooklyn Farms for the Fireworks celebration. We had delish food, drinks and friends and a gorgeous skyline. It was one of my favorite 4ths. Saturday we walked the Highline, my son loves the Highline, the beautiful weather, dragon fly and butterflies we ran into sealed the deal that braving the L train on a busy Sat was worth it. I will say it was insanely crowded but we were in no rush and after we hoped off we had some yummy Pink Berry. On Sunday we topped it off with a trip to the McGolrick Farmers market. It was a weekend of truly enjoying the gems of where we live!
