My dad lived near DC for much of life and one of my favorite memories was visiting during cherry blossom season. What magic! What beauty! The closest I’ve seen to that DC experience is at The Brooklyn Botanic Garden. And guess what? The blossoms are in full swing. Its worth checking out & experiencing it for yourself.
The Gardens also have a very cool exhibit going on. Using reclaimed wood from Hurricane Sandy, artist Roderick Romeo turned wood & other debris into wondrous tree houses for all to enjoy and play in. Exhibit opens this Saturday (couldn’t ask for better weather!).
