A few resources that educate/support/advocate for gun safety.

February 19, 2018

Last week the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida was downright awful. Whatever your political party may be we can all agree that we want our children to be safe. I will happily vote for an opposing candidate if this person holds the values that are important to me. However, we are years away from a primary election, and it's our local representatives that need to hear our concerns and realize the value in how the bills and organizations support effect us all. This is not an anti-gun rant although I hate them and have been affected by gun violence. This is about keeping the people who want to harm others away from guns. Most importantly I want to keep guns away from our kids and schools. I follow all these organizations, and I will admit it isn't always easy to be reminded of the loss of life, the horrible statistics we are up against, but as someone who had to watch a parent (twice) mourn their child from gun violence I know, I don't want this to keep happening. I know these people and organizations are only here to help us all, so I take a deep breath and read what I need to know.

Here are a few resources that will help you become involved if you wish to, educate you on what we can do to keep guns away from our kids.
