Pretty In Pink: This Greenpoint Party Venue is on the sweet side

October 05, 2017

Cotton Candy Spa opened last year and has fast become one of the areas popular party spots. We asked owner Anna Bychowska to share a bit more on her pink oasis and why she wanted to give parents and kids some much-needed pampering in North Brooklyn.

What made you decide to open this spa geared towards kids?

I opened this spa as I felt Greenpoint and Williamsburg parents needed a place for birthday parties to take away the stress from them since we take care of everything: fun/food and competitive prices. Something that wasn't being offered in our neighborhood. This felt like the perfect fit for our community.

Is the spa open for only birthdays and events or do you have set hours?
We are open during weekends for birthday parties as well as for small gatherings Moms can bring a couple of girls for spa time ( mini-manis and pedis, mini facials and mini make up) we charge $25 per girl. The events require an appointment. We are working on expanding hours during weekdays; this will probably happen in late spring/summer.

How are you juggling being a mom and new business?

Not easy (I’m a single parent) yet I was expecting this, and I am trying to handle this the best way I know. The hope I have is that my daughter will learn that sometimes our passions in life require hard work.

I know it’s geared toward girls however you said you are open for all?
Of course! We welcome both genders and have boys part of our parties often, the more the merrier!
