Free tennis!
From September 1 through October 6 the USTA is offering Free Tennis Play Day so kids can sample tennis! They will have the opportunity to play tennis as well as participate in a variety of tennis activities. The Play Days are designed to give kids additional court time in a fun, low-pressure, non-elimination setting where they can continue to develop and enhance their skills. I started playing tennis age 9 and LOVED it! Tennis was a big deal in our household growing up and I can’t wait to introduce it to my kids. I’ve heard 5 is the best age to start from several people in the know so I’m patiently waiting….
Also if you’re interested in tennis for your child, Bumblebee Tennis does amazing stuff at McCarren Park tennis courts. McCarren was recently outfitted with 2 kids courts!
