I knew I didn’t want to be a mother and didn’t really care for kids—did I just say that?!! I guess that shows I knew nothing about motherhood because I love it—obviously.
What was your idea of what you felt your life would be like?
Honestly, I thought it would be over, but I was very wrong. I have just gotten to the real good stuff.
How would you describe the first year?
Amazing. I think ironically, motherhood suited me and it felt easy and natural.
You recently had a baby girl, #2, Congrats! How was it juggling a young toddler while being pregnant?
I’m not going to lie it was hard having a very active little boy while being pregnant. I didn’t get those blissful afternoons with my feet up watching movies and eating ice cream that I had with my first pregnancy. Plus we had a six-flight walk-up for about 7 months of the pregnancy so carrying a toddler up and down became impossible. But now she is here it is awesome to see how much he loves her.
What lessons have you learn from the first few years that are helping you now with baby #2?
Well I think I am way more relaxed with this one. not sure if that is a lesson but it’s something you learn.
Tips for new moms especially the moms that are juggling more then one baby?
