These beautiful little dainty flowers have slowly been sprouting up in my backyard along with some hyacinth, daffodils and crocus. Anyone know what they’re called? They’re lovely~ All these spring flowers bring to mind spring cleaning and this NYTimes article about getting a jump on spring cleaning was really helpful! Now that I cleared away my clutter; I was lucky enough to see the Green Parents event is coming up next month. What a great way to make back some of the money you’ve spent on baby stuff or better yet get your DB’s summer wardrobe at a reasonable price!
The concept is simple:
You set your own prices and keep two-thirds of the sale. On the last day of the sale, there is the option of your items being sold at half-price. If they do not sell, you may pick them up or you will have the option of donating any unsold items to our charitable partner after the sale and getting a tax receipt.
There are four ways to participate in our event:
• You can be a volunteer in our Work Exchange program whereby, in exchange for a four-hour work shift, you are entitled to shop first in a private session.
• You can be a seller who brings in your consigned goods and enjoy a private sale after the volunteers and before the public.
• You can be one of our Community Recruiters who sign on to assist this event by bringing in sellers and earn extra money with the an additional bonus of early priority shopping.
• You can simply shop our Consignment Event when it opens to the general public and get great prices on everything your family needs!
More info here. The Green Parents consignment event is April 11-15 at St. Francis Xavier School, 763 President Street, Brooklyn.
