7 last minute summer camps (for Greenpoint /Williamsburg)

June 13, 2016

If you are still in limbo over Summer camp (example...I still haven't received a location of where my son's camp will take place this summer) it can be a wee bit stressful. This is why we asked some of the best camps around if they have space and although most do not have a ton of spots there are a few left in these 7 listed. Check them out!

Eckford Street Summer Camp

Spots Avail: Have openings every week in July (including the week of July 5th!) and many weeks in August (though the August ones always sell out).

One week left for early registration discount ($100 off per week!) - it ends June 15th

Offer multi-week, sibling and buddy discounts

Mention Motherburg in the comments section of your registration for an extra $20 off!

Dates/Times:

July 5th - September 3

Camp days run from 9am (8:45 drop-off) to 3pm.

Brief Description: Spend the Summer in the studio! Each week of Art Camp is created around a big idea that is explored through drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and more! Popular themes are repeated year-to-year, but the projects and art created are as unique as each group of artists. Projects include collaborative and skill building activities, as well as ongoing projects and free art time.

Young artists work daily in their sketchbooks, lunch in the park, and take trips around the neighborhood to find sources of inspiration. Camp sessions are limited to 15 artists, with at least one adult per five students for plenty of one-on-one attention.

Each week culminates in an exhibition, designed and curated by the campers, and open to family and friends for celebrating!

Extended day available until 5:30pm on Mondays-Thursdays (snack, an art project, and McCarren Pool, weather permitting), for an additional $35 per day. Early drop-off beginning at 8am available every day for an additional $10/day.

Price: $500 a week, $450 if multiply weeks
