DIY: Last minute superhero birthday cake...

August 20, 2012

I recently threw a last minute birthday gathering for my little in house superhero. In the past I have spent a ton of money on the cake and thought let me try baking it. I am the worst baker and long story short I ended buying a cake and frosting mix from Trader Joes. The cake ended up being delicious and didn’t look too bad for being the first cake I have EVER baked! My child’s wild enthusiasm assured me that he was fine with me cheating and baking from a box. I have promised my dear foodie friend Kate that I will bake from one of her cake recipes and get over my fear of baking by the holidays , stay tune for that cake post! Meanwhile, here are some Superhero finds that can help you pull together your own last minute super hero party:

Free Cake printables for Cake Toppers via One Charming Party, note, used straws to hold my signs upright. I also used construction paper to make them a bit more sturdier.
